  "It’s A Brave New World -- The DOL’s Proposed  Overtime Regulations"

BIO:

She is a Counsel in the Labor Law and Employment Litigation Section of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP.  Ms. Bender received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Business Administration, from the University of Florida. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Georgia Law Review. Ms. Bender has engaged exclusively in the practice of labor and employment law and related litigation. She represents clients in the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, construction, retail, service, hospitality, education, transportation, logistics, non-profit, food and beverage, and insurance industries, as well as numerous local government bodies. She has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyers "Rising Star" as published by Law & Politics and Atlanta Magazine. Ms. Bender is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida.

The United States Department of Labor has released its long-anticipated proposed FLSA overtime regulations. These new regulatory developments will have a significant impact on employers of all sizes with the potential to dramatically affect common personnel and pay practices.
